BACPR Conference 2026 - our commitment to sustainability

The BACPR and our partners are committed to acting sustainably and environmentally responsible in as many ways as possible. Here are a few ways we hope to achieve this.

The BACPR annual conference is run as an in-person conference and core criteria during the venue finding for the annual conference is:

City centre-based hotels or conference venues.
Good transport links with train stations located within walking distance of the venue. Bus or tram routes available.
Airports located within a short distance of the host city.

The aim is to make travelling as easy and as sustainable as possible.

The venue is only a short 15-minute walk from Birmingham New Street train station.

Thirst quencher

Consider bringing a tap water fillable water bottle with you – help reduce dishwasher cycles.
Re-usable coffee mugs are also welcome.

Badges and lanyards

The conference badges and lanyards are fully re-usable (and hand washable).
Please consider re using your lanyard in your work setting or bring it with you to the next BACPR event you attend.

Or alternatively please return the lanyard to the registration desk before you leave.

BACPR is going bag-free at registration to create a more sustainable conference experience.

Programme book

The A5 programme book is fully recyclable if the spiro bind is removed.
